reflectionIAnalysis is the key to defining the needs of students. Without analysis, educators are flying blind. Formative assessment allows students to gauge their level of understanding, and is a guiding factor in the classroom.
The internet provides many opportunities to analyze data. Some applications grade assignments and assessments for teachers. Other applications provide students with tutorials, which are personally directed to each individual student. Technology applications that offer analysis of student understanding are such an important tool for educators. Through the courses offered at USM, numerous tools were shared that can be used for students to prove their mastery of skills. These creative methods proved learning through higher-order thinking skills. Examples are offered in the artifacts. |
artifactsIn the video below, I taught my peers about specific design elements. This could easily be implemented as a lesson where the students showcase their own learning.
The Clips application is a unique video tool, which students can create media to show mastery of their learning.
Students can create a storyboard to prove mastery for standards in a fun, creative fashion.
Edpuzzle is a great formative assessment tool, as students watch a video, the video will pause for the students to answer questions about the previously viewed material. Please use the class code, Filarmo, to visit my creation.

Future Learning GoalsBeing that I teach 150 students, I am very thankful for technology applications which provide educators with beneficial data for student growth. This information drives instruction. My goal is to research new tools of which I am not currently using. I am especially going to research tools that focus on providing feedback to students. Giving feedback to 150 students is a tough chore. I hope I can find a tool that is a game changer!
